FRC announces 5 students test positive
Feather River college announced that it received information that five current students tested positive for COVID yesterday, Oct. 14.
Four of the students are close contacts, with two as roommates. They were last on campus Monday, Oct. 11. Two are symptomatic and two are not. All four positive tests were detected during routine campus surveillance testing of students and they were sent to Plumas County Public Health for verification and to ensure that they were not false-positive test results.
The students are self-isolating until the confirmation test from PDH is returned, with further directives from Public Health at that time.
The other student is an unrelated case, with this student recently testing out of state. They have been off campus for over 10 days since Tuesday, Oct. 5. They are self-isolating as well.
