FRC announces students test positive for COVID

Earlier today both Plumas Unified School District and Plumas Charter School announced positive cases associated with  their schools and this evening Feather River College is announcing its own positive cases.

FRC President Kevin Trutna said that the collegeereceived notification today that over the weekend, four students tested positive for COVID.  Two of the students were sent in for retesting to rule out a false-positive test result, and those results have not been returned.

Two of the students are close contacts with each other.  The other two students are also close contacts are roommates.

Contacts of the four students on the FRC campus have been notified.  “We are still working with Plumas County Public Health on further contact tracing, as they deem necessary,” Trutna said.
