FRC posts 5 more positive COVID cases

Feather River College announced that 5 individuals tested positive for COVID today — 1 student and four employees.  Close contacts on campus have been notified, as has Plumas County Public Health Department.

The college reported that during routine weekly surveillance testing today, Jan. 25, four employees returned positive COVID test results.

In addition, one student tested positive during routine weekly surveillance as well.  They live off campus and will isolate in their residence.

Yesterday, nine students and one employee tested positive, and it was reported that the women’s soccer team has paused all team activities to follow CCCAA protocols.

An update from last week’s activities:

  • The softball team resumed practices after team members produced two negative tests each at the end of the quarantine period.
  • The baseball team similarly quarantined last week and has also resumed activities after individuals produced negative tests.
  • Plumas County Health Department cleared the Child Development Center for reopening, which will occur tomorrow.
