FRC provides update on Tuesday classes due to planned power outage

PG&E announced a planned power outage to upgrade equipment on Tuesday, Aug. 30.  This will impact certain portions of the Feather River College campus. FRC President Kevin Trutna provided the latest update:

The following will be in effect from 8 a.m. – noon tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 30:

  • All indoor lecture and laboratory classes are cancelled from 8 a.m. -noon
  • All outdoor activity classes can continue to meet
  • Classroom teaching faculty should plan an alternate teaching activity, if possible
  • Support services faculty, staff, and management should work with their supervisor for direction to work from campus as much as possible and if safe to do so, or to work from an alternative work location

As of now, we are planning to open campus fully at noon tomorrow.

A notice will be sent by 10:30 a.m. tomorrow updating the campus to this noon opening if power outages continue.

A second notice will be sent by 3 p.m. regarding evening classes status.
