David Heaslett, attorney at law, will be providing information about estate planning on Wednesday, July 17, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., at the Mohawk Community Resource Center on the corner of highways 89 and 70 in Blairsden. Heaslett has 28 years of experience in estate planning.
The following questions will be discussed: What happens to my assets when I don’t have a will or trust? Is a will enough? Do I need a trust? How do I leave a legacy that represents my values?
Charitable gift annuities will briefly be presented as an interesting estate planning tool for receiving lifetime income, securing a tax deduction and supporting your favorite charity.
There will be time for other questions during the program and for individualized questions after the program.
This program may be the incentive you need to start your estate planning and to think about the legacy you may want to leave. There is no charge for the program.
The program is sponsored by the Feather River Land Trust , a nonprofit organization that has been working to conserve the lands and waters of the Feather River region since 2000.
