FRLT offers locals a chance to win three-day waterfowl hunts in Beckwourth

During the 2020-2021 California waterfowl hunting season, the Feather River Land Trust (FRLT) is offering a drawing for three weekend-long hunt opportunities at the 2500-acre Sierra Valley Preserve near Beckwourth. These hunts are open to the residents of Plumas, Lassen and Sierra counties ONLY, in order to provide members of the local communities that FRLT serves with an opportunity to experience the Sierra Valley Preserve. This is part of a very limited pilot hunting program at the Sierra Valley Preserve which is managed and closely monitored by the Feather River Land Trust and local volunteers.

Interested hunters can learn all the relevant details and apply online here. The cost to apply is $10 per weekend. Applications will be accepted through Monday, Dec. 14 at 9 am and drawing winners will be announced that afternoon. The dates of the hunts are:
· Friday, December 18th through Sunday, December 20th, 2020
· Friday, January 15th through Sunday, January 17th, 2021
· Friday, January 22nd through Sunday, January 24th, 2021
