Greenville Wellness Center a vital place this fall
Fall is here and the Greenville Wellness Center is in gear to serve Indian Valley with a variety of fall programs.
The winter coat drive started Oct. 1. Rhonda Reames asks that community members look around their homes for gently worn coats and jackets of all sizes and bring them into the center for distribution.
The Center just held a yard sale and is looking to build up its emergency food shelf. Staff at the Center are still accepting non-perishable food items.
In October and November the local Green Thumb Committee is meeting every other Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Center to discuss cleaning up Greenville and to discuss environmental changes. The next meeting is Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Computer classes are taking place at the Center every Wednesday beginning at 1 p.m. in October and November that address basics and intermediate computer skills. Internet and computers are available but limited — people can bring their own computer, but it’s best to call first: 283-6307 ext. 1525.
