Help spread the love in Chester

During the month of February, the Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting all Chester businesses to join in a community effort to beautify the town and celebrate the “love” of community by decorating their storefronts with everything Valentine.

Staff at the Chester Progressive decided to demonstrate what could be accomplished with just a small window space and a little imagination and in turn challenge the rest of the businesses in town to follow suit.

It was noted by one chamber member that the quicker a business is decorated, the sooner customers will know they can vote for you.

There are no restrictions on how a business chooses to adorn its facility, large or small. The idea is to come together with a common theme and brighten this time of year.

The winner of the contest will receive a special certificate of recognition and, of course, the bragging rights that go with it.

The Progressive threw in a secondary offer with a large jar full of Valentine candy.

Come in, write down the number of candies you think is in the jar and at the end of the month the correct answer will be awarded the jar and its contents.
