Holiday Market donates bikes
The Chester Holiday Market “family of employees” is donating 10 bicycles to Chester Elementary School. “At our company Christmas party at the Red Bluff Community Center we had a ‘Shopping Cart Drill Team’ contest between the different store branches and the winning branch was awarded brand new kids bicycles,” said Assistant Floor Manager Joy Newell, adding that, “After we practiced and practiced we won the competition!” She said they got together and decided to make a donation to the school. Once the bicycles are delivered near the end of January, it was Newell’s understanding that CES administrators and teachers will meet to discuss which students will be given the bikes based on their attendance, grades, need and other factors.
