For the public’s convenience the Booster’s tri-tip dinner offers a choice of dining in or picking up at the drive thru. There is always plenty of seating in the cafeteria at Chester Elementary and even though, “looking through a snapshot in time,” the drive-thru line seemed to be endless (at one point almost three blocks), the efficiency of the student/parent delivery crew moved a multitude of vehicles through very quickly and there were numerous adulatory comments about the students participation in the event. The event committee looks forward to an even more expedited process next year.

Huge support for Chester Boosters

After 14 years, most Chester/Lake Almanor residents know and look forward to the Chester High Booster’s annual tri-tip dinner. Once again on Sept. 26 the community came out in force to support the Boosters and thereby Chester High sports programs, and to also have a mouth-watering tri-tip dinner in the process. Event co-organizers Kristen Montgomery and Mary Juska noted that between the dine-in and drive-thru venues there were 600 meals served. A sincere “Thank You” is extended for all the community support. Photos by Gregg Scott
