Indian Valley Academy visits SPI mill

Students in Plumas Charter School’s Indian Valley Academy visit the Sierra Pacific Industries mill in Quincy on Dec. 9. The seventh- and eighth-graders are in an outdoor education and recreation course taught by PCS Outdoor Education Coordinator Courtney Gomola, in which students learn about local ecosystems, provide community service, explore outdoor recreation, and learn about local jobs and industries.
