Indian Valley Museum seeks stories, photos and letters from Plumas County residents

“2020 – Living Through Uncertain Times” will be the theme and focus of personal recollections currently being gathered by museum staff from Mt. Jura Gem and Museum Society at the Indian Valley Museum in Taylorsville. Membes are hoping the community — including school and college students of all ages — will submit personal stories, letters, and comments to be a part of this living history booklet.

Without a doubt this has been a year of so many challenges in our lives enduring COVID-19, the fires and smoke, and presidential election to name a few. Our future generations will be interested in reading about our experiences just like historical events have been referenced in the past.

Submissions may be forwarded to Mt. Jura Gem and Museum Society at [email protected] sent to Indian Valley Museum, P.O. Box 194, Taylorsville, CA 95983 up until March 31, 2021.
