A juvenile was arrested at Chester Junior/Senior High School today, March 4, on a charge of making criminal threats.
The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office made the announcement late this afternoon, after investigating the incident that was reported at approximately 8:10 a.m. Because the individual arrested is a juvenile, scant information can be shared, but Plumas News asked if any weapons were involved. A spokesman said that there were no weapons, and that the threat wasn’t leveled against the school in general, but rather with regard to a specific individual.
The juvenile will be booked and held at a juvenile detention facility, and the case referred to the Plumas County District Attorney’s Office to review for prosecution.
The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with information regarding this case to please call 530-283-6300.
