Keeping our forest clean

The Graeagle Trash Brigade has a successful cleanup Feb. 22 on a dirt road in Graeagle. Nine committed community members cleaned up garbage that had been dumped in the area. The group rapidly worked to fill the bed of a pickup truck with garbage in less than 45 minutes. Much of the trash was completely frozen into the ground and took a lot of muscle to pry loose. The group thanks local Julie Schaut-Tougeron for hauling all of the garbage to the transfer station, and also thanks Pam Helmer for inspiring everyone to tackle the issue quickly.
