The last Chester Community Supper of the 2021-22 season was held on Thursday, April 28, at the Chester Memorial Hall. Due to ‘Covid’ restrictions this one was limited to delivering to drive-up customers. These dinners are hosted by the Almanor Basin Food Pantry in coordination with non-governmental event sponsoring organizations. This event was sponsored by the Lake Almanor West Auxiliary and volunteer members delivered the meals to the cars.
Chef Carol Franchetti and her crew outdid themselves once again with a meal including prime rib, baked potatoes, cream corn casserole, dinner roll and blueberry cheesecake. The good news is that next year’s dinners are scheduled to return to the original sit-down venue in the Memorial Hall. Mark your calendars for Thursday, Nov. 17 to begin the start of the 2022-23 season. The tables will be ready to go and dinned will be served from 5 to 6 p.m.
