UPDATE: Call in number for League of Women Voters forum tonight

4:20 p.m. UPDATE: For those who don’t have the ability to register for tonight’s forum, they can call in and listen to the event. Individuals should dial 1 669 900 6833. They will be asked for a meeting ID and can input 915 0473 5063. The passcode is then 978533.

Tonight’s forum featuring Kevin Goss and Mike Grant, the candidates for Plumas County District 2 Supervisor, begins at 7 p.m. and is being moderated by Jane Braxton Little.

Original Story: The League of Women Voters of Plumas County will uphold tradition and host candidate forums in advance of the Nov. 3 election. But with a nod to the ongoing threat of coronavirus, the events will be held via zoom with the electorate able to log on to access the Q&A sessions or call in to listen.

The League will hold two events — one for the District 1 Supervisor race (Portola/Eastern Plumas) and the other for District 2 Supervisor (Indian Valley, the Canyon, Chandler Road and portions of the Highway 70 corridor toward Graeagle.)

The candidates met in primary races back in March and the top two vote earners in each district are on the November ballot. In District 1, Sierra Valley rancher Dwight Ceresola is running opposite Bill Powers, a retired educator and current Portola City Councilman.

Information about both events is included below, along with links on how to access the forums.
