Library giving away books daily to youth in October

The Plumas County Library is giving away free books all month long in October. Each day that the library is open, children up to age 18 may complete an activity, turn it in, and receive a free book. (One free book per person per day.) Activity sheets are available at each branch during open hours, or you may print them yourself from our website www.plumascounty.us/593.  Stop by your local branch and check out the variety of books available to choose from.

This program is held several times during the year and is a great way to encourage reading development.

This event includes the temporary Greenville Library site, open Tuesday-Thursday from 3:30-7:30 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Greenville High School, Room #402. (You can find directions and more information at  www.plumascounty.us/2875.)

Keep an eye out for information about book programs in November – including Fall Reading Program.

Also, just a reminder that story time has resumed at Quincy on Thursdays from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m., at Portola on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m., and at Chester on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
