Oct. 30: Plumas reports six more confirmed cases – all in the Almanor area
The Plumas County Public Health Agency announced that it received notification of six positive COVID-19 test results today, Oct. 30, all for residents in the Western Region (Chester/Lake Almanor). The county now has 85 cases to date. This brings the week’s total to 17 cases — breaking last week’s record of 14 cases.
Four of the positive cases are household contacts of a previously reported case and the other two are close contacts of previously reported cases. Contact tracing investigation has been initiated in all cases. If an exposed resident is identified during the investigation, the resident will be contacted by a member of the Public Health COVID-19 Response Team for further screening.
