PDH announces another positive COVID test for clinic staff member

Plumas District Hospital announced this morning that another employee has tested positive for COVID-19.

It received notification last night that a member of the Rural Health Clinic staff tested positive for coronavirus and was identified through PDH’s internal contact tracing for employees and physicians. (Last week two cases associated with the clinic were announced.) Speedy in-house diagnostics provided the positive result within 90 minutes, at which time the employee was notified and promptly left the hospital campus, thereby limiting potential exposure to other staff and patients.

The staff member is not experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 and is quarantining in their home. Immediate close contacts with potential for exposure have been identified to undergo testing.
