PDH holds special meeting to talk property purchase, merger

A piece of property has come up for sale adjacent to the Plumas Hospital District campus and the district would like to buy it.

The board authorized CEO JoDee Tittle and CFO Caleb Johnson during a special meeting July 16 to negotiate on behalf of the district.

The property located at 1018 Valley View Drive is listed through Coldwell Banker for $299,500. It includes a nearly half-acre lot with a three bedroom, two-bath 1,800-square-foot house.

When asked if the property would be used to house medical personnel or perhaps offer an expansion site, Tittle responded that hospital officials are considering it as a potential daycare site.

Tittle said that the district’s “providers could see more patients because finding daycare is a barrier to them.”

In addition to serving hospital district employees, Tittle said the facility would be available to the public as well.

“This presents a lot of opportunity,” she said.

The board passed a resolution pertaining to a tax exchange between Plumas County and the Plumas Hospital District, which will now include the portion previously given to the Indian Valley Health Care District. The latter will be annexed into the Plumas Hospital District.

The Plumas County Board of Supervisors voted on a similar resolution the week prior.
