PG&E increasing flows on North Fork Feather River between Canyon Dam and Caribou

PG&E is increasing flows on a portion of the North Fork Feather River starting today, Oct. 13.

Flows along the Seneca reach – the portion of river between Canyon Dam and the Belden Reservoir in Caribou – went from about 39 cubic feet per second (cfs) to about 250 cfs today.

Those recreating in or near the river are urged to exercise caution due to higher flows.

The higher flows are necessary so PG&E can maintain instream flow releases below Belden Reservoir and ensure continued reliability in the event the Caribou Powerhouse is impacted during the Public Safety Power Shutoff event this week.
