As of 2 p.m. today, Dec. 28, there are 116 customers in the areas of Keddie and Paxton in the Feather River Canyon, as well as another 164 customers in the Meadow Valley area without power.
During an interview this afternoon, PG&E spokeswoman Deanna Contreras said that power is expected to be restored to those customers by tonight.
She attributed the Canyon outages to trees falling on power lines. As for the Meadow Valley customers, 48 are without power due to a broken power pole. The other outages in Meadow Valley also are due to falling trees.
Contreras said that the utility company is using all of the tools at their disposal to reach and repair the damage and thanks all customers for their patience.
Plumas County certainly isn’t the only area experience power outages. Areas such as Grass Valley and Placerville were also left in the dark following the heavy snowfall.
