Planned Power Outage for Indian Valley, Crescent Mills, Greenville – Corrected Time

Update: Time for outage to begin is 12:01 a.m. (just after midnight), not 1 a.m. as originally noted.

There will be a planned power outage on Saturday, April 23 from 12:01 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. in Indian Valley, Crescent Mills, and Greenville, according to the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office.

PG&E will be correcting the periodic loss of power in the Indian Valley and Greenville areas associated with the temporary generator that’s powering the Crescent Mills substation.

PG&E has concluded the generation units at the substation are causing frequency swings in the power output that is causing lines to trip. PG&E has arranged to swap out the temporary units at the Crescent Mills substation during the hours of 1 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 in an effort to improve reliability.
