Plumas Arts holds opening reception this Friday; more events to follow

Plumas Arts is pleased to announce a gallery opening reception this Friday, July 7,  from 5 to 7 p.m. at 525 Main St. in Quincy.

For the month of July, the Plumas Arts Gallery will be displaying art from Seamas Gallagher, raised here in Quincy. He always had a love of drawing, and has been able to pursue a career in art. He has been working as a concept artist in video games for almost 15 years, and currently he work for Firaxis Games, based in Baltimore, MD. His job as a concept artist is to provide visuals for an art director for any given project, working within a set of parameters. These visual tasks range from characters, creatures, weapons, or environments. He enjoys fantasy and sci-fi subject matter the most, and tends to gravitate towards those genres in his own personal work.

Mark your calendars for other Plumas Arts events this summer. Join family and friends in Dame Shirley Plaza in Quincy on the third Thursday of July and August, for the Music in the Plaza series. July 20th will feature The Back 40, August 17th will feature Dog On It. The shows will be 5:30-7 p.m., food will be available for purchase from or bring a picnic and enjoy this fun free family event.

The Plumas Arts Gallery and office hours are Wednesday thru Friday 11 to 5 and Saturday 10 to 4.
