The League is currently reviewing contested races for local, state and national offices to be determined in the November 8 election. Among its civic functions is holding forums to introduce candidates to the public. Look for announcements of up-coming forums in early September.

Also under review is the topic of the Plumas League’s Nancy Lund Memorial Essay Contest. Plumas County students from grades nine through 12 are invited to participate. Applications will be available in early September.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization of women and men devoted to increasing civic dialogue and public involvement in democratic processes at the local, state and national levels. For further information about joining the League contact Judge at [email protected].
