Plumas News reopening comments section on its website

Plumas News closed its comments section on this website a couple of years ago due to the some of the inappropriate statements made on stories — often having very little to do with the news content of the article. But, since we maintained  a Facebook presence, our readers could comment there.

As of now we are no longer posting new content to our Facebook page (issues with the page), so we are going to reopen the comments section on our website. However, if those comments degenerate, we will close them again.

We find that the comments can be valuable as our readers can post real-time information others may appreciate. What isn’t helpful are personal attacks or off-topic or inaccurate comments.

Any stories posted from this point will be eligible for comment. Let’s give this us a try and we look forward to seeing what our readers have to say.
