Plumas Sheriff releases sandbag information for each community

In response to the ongoing storm, the Plumas County Sheriff released the following information regarding the availability of sandbags.
Residents are encouraged to take only what they need to protect their property.
Chester: Chester Fire has sand and bags available at their station. You will need to bring a shovel.
Greenville: Indian Valley Fire has sand and bags available at their new location on Hwy 89 just south of Greenville. You will need to bring a shovel.
Portola: Sand and bags are available at the maintenance yard on Main Street. Bags are located in the green shed. You will need to bring a shovel.
Quincy: Contact Quincy Fire, Station 1. If the trailer of bags is not there it is because more bags are actively being made.
