Plumas vote tallies should be available after 4 today
There are more than 1,900 additional votes to be counted today to determine the outcome of the June 7 Primary in Plumas County. Those are the ballots that were waiting to be verified on Election Day and that arrived postmarked June 7.
Clerk/Recorder Marcy DeMartile said the remaining 1900-plus votes should be tabulated sometime after 4 p.m. today June 14, but cautions that the totals will still be the unofficial final results, “as there are still numerous signature and address verification statements to be returned.”
She asks that if anyone has received a Verification Form from her office, they should return it immediately so that their ballot can be processed and counted.
The number of Verification Statements awaiting voter response is 118.
