Are you a poet but don’t know it?

A great way to find out is to attend the Poetry Workshop scheduled for Saturday, April 29, at the Plumas County Library in Quincy.

The workshop is sponsored by the Quincy Friends of the Library and is titled “Freeing Your Life with Words.” It will feature acclaimed poet and workshop leader Susan Wooldridge. Susan is a skilled and stimulating presenter who will make you feel excited about language and self-expression in both poetry and prose.

The workshop will take place on Saturday, April 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the meeting room of the Plumas County Library at 445 Jackson Street in Quincy. The workshop is free but in order to attend, you must register in advance before Saturday, April 22.  You can register at the front desk of the Quincy library or call 530-283-6310. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible.

This workshop is an exciting springboard for creativity for both experienced writers and those who are trying their hand at it for the first time. Attendees are asked to bring pens or pencils and some 8×11 “scratch” paper to give their creativity room to flower.

This event is sponsored by The Quincy Friends of the Library as well as Poets & Writers. The Quincy Friends will also be hosting a light lunch for workshop attendees and look forward to seeing you there.
