Portola Junior/Senior High School graduate returns to teach eighth graders
Portola Junior/Senior High School (PJSHS) extends a warm welcome to the newest and youngest member of their Tiger Team, Abigail Folchi.
Folchi is a 2015 Portola Junior/Senior High School graduate who somehow found her way back to PJSHS. Folchi graduated from Gonzaga University with degrees in Biology and Environmental science in 2019.
She spent summers working as a watershed technician for several non-profits in Plumas and Nevada county before ultimately deciding she wanted to pursue education. Just recently in December of 2021, Abigail Folchi graduated with Masters of Initial Teaching with endorsements in Biology and English Language Development (ELD). Folchi will be at PJSHS in Room 1 teaching 8th grade Science, Fire Science, and Geography.
