Liberty Energy has restored power to a majority of customers in the Northstar, Squaw, Olympic Valley, Alpine Meadows, Glenshire, Martis Camp and Truckee areas as of Jan. 11 at 2 p.m. Liberty anticipates that customers in Kings Beach, Tahoe City and Portola/Loyalton will also be restored today. Due to numerous large trees that have fallen through lines and wires down, the restoration process is moving slowly, working one community at a time. There are still challenges to restoring power from Emerald Bay to south of Homewood. Residents should not remove downed trees from lines. Call 911 if you believe downed lines pose an immediate risk or if you have an emergency situation. Liberty Energy will continue to provide updates via website as dispatchers updating the website will have more information than Emergency Customer Service Agents.
