Preparing for flu season in Chester
By 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, the Chester Memorial Hall is already swarming with local residents lining up for their flu shots. Sponsored by the Plumas County Public Health Agency (PCPHA) and assisted by the Seneca Hospital Auxiliary the clinic is free to all. The annual clinic has been well attended, even when it was a drive through venue on Meadowbrook Loop, but the warm, well lighted interior of the Chester Memorial Hall is much more inviting and makes it quicker and easier for the public health staff and the Pink Ladies. Director of Nursing for PCPHA, Tina Venable, reported that 309 Lake Almanor residents were served during the three hours the clinic was open. Photo by Gregg Scott
