Prescribed burning continues in Butterfly Valley
Plumas National Forest firefighters continued to conduct prescribed burning in Butterfly Valley near Quincy yesterday, May 14, and today the plan is to treat approximately 71 acres. The forecast is appearing favorable to continue prescribed burning in the area this week.
Area residents and visitors interested in accessing the Butterfly Valley Botanical Area are asked to use Blackhawk Road due to increased firefighter traffic in the area and operations near and along Butterfly Valley Road.
