PSREC connects mobile generator today; some planned outages

PSREC has switched to backup power sources to maintain service to its members due to the Dixie fire’s impact on its PG&E primary transmission feed.  To further mitigate system-wide effects, PSREC is connecting a two mega-watt mobile generator at its Graeagle substation.  The generator will assist PSREC in serving the large load in the Valley Ranch, Whitehawk, and Gold Mountain areas.  Members in these areas will experience an approximate one-hour outage today, July 27, at 3 p.m .to test and sync the generator with our system.  In subsequent days, members will experience brief outages each day at 9 am to bring the generator online and 9 pm to disconnect the generator for refueling.

PSREC asks that members continue to conserve when possible. Thank you for your patience as we work to keep the power on for all PSREC members.
