PSREC reports nearly 2,000 customers without power UPDATE
UPDATE: Power has been restored to all but a handful of customers as of 8:55 a.m.
Plumas Sierra Rural Electric is reporting that 1,936 customers are without power this morning, Dec. 26. The outage is affecting those east of Portola.
Residents in the Sierra Valley are reporting a foot of fresh snow with drifts up to 3 feet.
Light snow is expected throughout Plumas County this morning with increasing snowfall this afternoon and throughout the night. Quincy residents could receive up to 2 feet of snow by 7 a.m. tomorrow morning, Dec. 27. That number is predicted to be substantially more at the higher elevations in the county.
