Public Health adds more locations to pick up at-home COVID tests
Plumas County residents quickly snapped up at-home COVID test kits made available by the Public Health Agency last week, with more expected. Due to demand, the health agency has expanded the locations where the tests will be offered when available. See the flyer below.
Public Health is working to ensure there is an adequate supply of tests — at least through February. The agency has received kits from the state, as well as purchased some with grants received for COVID response.
“Obviously there are a lot of variables involved regarding how long we can sustain providing free in home tests kits to the public,” the agency shared in a release Jan. 16. Every week each location will be allocated a certain amount of kits, which may change week to week depending on supply. Once each location is out for the week, more won’t be received until the following week.
