This is an opportunity for our students to meet their teachers and support staff, pick up their class schedule, and get familiar with the campus.

Principal Jennifer Scheel announced the addition of several educators joining the Trojan Team.
Stewart Clark – Mr. Clark will be teaching Special Education.
Emily Read – Ms. Read will be teaching Science
Eliza Hardee – Ms. Hardee will be teaching Music Education
Tracy Duvall – Ms. Duvall will be teaching high school English
Kathryn Zimmerman – Trojan Rock Star Substitute – Ms. Zimmerman will be substituting Opportunity and Plumas Academy.

Scheel is excited to begin the school year with significant upgrades to the campus facility. “CRM Construction has been busy all summer long working on installing our new HVAC units. We will be up and running by the first day of school!”

Athletic Fields are also under renovation, thanks to the public support of Measure B. “Much like the HVAC project, the crew has been working all summer long, even on our hottest days. The Grading/Storm Drain/Concrete portion of the project is complete. We are now moving into the irrigation portion, which is expected to be completed by the end of September” said Scheel. QHS Athletic Director and Vice Principal Jason Hawkins is eager to get Trojan Teams out on the fields and practicing, but in the meantime he has been working with FRC and the fall outdoor sports coaches to provide alternative practice and game locations.

Other campus updates include new gym roofs, brand new chrome books for every student, and a master schedule designed to meet the needs of our growing student population.
