The tournament featured a total of 52 games with 35 teams representing Quincy, Portola, Loyalton, Greenville, Chester, Fall River, Cold Springs, Janesville and Chicago Park School in Grass Valley.

Following are the division winners:

– Fifth-grade girls, Quincy;

– Sixth-grade girls, Chester;

– Seventh-grade girls, Cold Springs;

– Eighth-grade girls, Fall River;

– Fifth-grade boys, Portola;

– Sixth-grade boys, Loyalton;

– Seventh-grade boys, Janesville; and

– Eighth-grade boys, Chester.

The tournament also included fun-filled shooting contests for each of the divisions.

“The tournament was a blast,” said CPRPD Recreation supervisor and tournament organizer Kyle Stone. “This year’s tournament was a little larger than last year’s. We had some new teams in this year’s field that brought some very good competition and some new people to Quincy.”

Stone added, “I’d like to thank all of the teams and coaches for their positive participation and I’d especially like to thank all of the volunteers and officials who gave their time to help throughout the tournament. A lot of people stepped up to help and that is what community is all about. Without this type of community support, an event like this wouldn’t be possible.”
