Quincy Community Supper tonight June 14
Quincy Community Supper is inviting the community to come for a delicious meal this evening, June 14, at 6 p.m. at the Methodist Church. Guests may either choose to enjoy the fellowship of other diners in the Fellowship Hall, or they may select takeout. There is no charger for this meal although contributions are welcome. The Community Supper his held the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month. A rotating group of churches, offices, businesses and civic groups has been taking turns hosting the meal since it began in September of 2002.
Plumas News has asked for that information, but Quincy Community Supper organizers declined to provide that information out of concern for some of the organizations or agencies that serve the supper citing security concerns. In contrast to that approach, the Chester Community Supper does publish the organizations that are serving as well as the menu.
