Quincy Rotary schedules annual music contest

Quincy Rotary is pleased to announce its 2022 Music Contest scheduled for Monday, March 7,  at 6 p.m. This is an opportunity for 9-12 grade students to showcase their musical talents. The event will be held at Plumas County Fairground’s Mineral Building where students will perform for a panel of judges and Quincy Rotary members. Please note, there will be a mask mandate at the event.

Quincy Rotarians always look forward to this contest and are continually amazed at the level of talent in local students. Prizes for the contest will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. The first-place winner will be able to compete for additional recognition at the regional and District 5190 competition with added rewards for excellence.

Applications are available at both Quincy High School’s office and Plumas Charter School. Also, interested participants may obtain applications by contacting Beth Reid at [email protected] or Sarah Gallagher at [email protected].  Applications are due by Friday, Feb. 25. Completed applications may be submitted to either Reid or Gallagher electronically, mailed to Rotary Music Contest, 1540 Chandler Rd., Quincy, CA 95971, or hand delivered to that same address.
