Quincy Trojans win playoff game
Quincy Trojans won the May 16 playoff game against East Nicolaus by a score of 14-7. In a game that was much closer than it sounds, the boys were tied at 6-6 in the fourth inning.
With this win the QHS boys will move on to play for the number one slot against Modoc on Saturday, May 20 at 2 p.m. at Shasta College. QHS is 10-1 for their away games and Modoc is 5-3-1 for away games.
The teams are closely matched with Modoc excelling slightly more on batting and Quincy just a hair better at getting on base. Overall records are 20-3 for QHS and 19-4-1 for Modoc. Quincy was undefeated in their league with 8-0 and Modoc won their league with a 7-3 record.
