Quincy VFW honors Scott Quade
The Quincy Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3825 honored local veterans advocate Scott Quade in recognition of his “selfless service and dedication” to the veterans of Plumas County. The honor was bestowed on him for his work with the VFW, and the Plumas County Veterans Collaborative and the annual Veterans Stand Down.
“His efforts with the Stand Downs is just astounding. He just keeps on giving. He has a wonderful, selfless attitude,” said Martin Byrne, Quincy VFW 3825 Post Commander. Byrne added that Quade also coordinates food distribution through the Elks.
The Stand Downs are an annual event where veterans and their families are welcomed to receive information, enroll in veterans services, and receive equipment, dental work, hair cuts, and other necessary services.
