The Central Plumas Recreation and Park District is holding a community recreation event for up to 30 teams of two to four beginning Jan. 25. Following are some of the highlights:
-Groups of two to four can compete in the challenge to win free recreation activities through the District for one year.
-The challenge is free to participate in and is limited to the first 30 registered teams.
-The challenge will consist of six separate challenges, one challenge per week beginning January 25th.
-The separate challenges are: Best Snow Scene, the Ultimate Math Challenge, Highest Elevation, Best Pump Track Design, Fitness Rig Challenge, and Wordtastic Teamwork Challenge.
-Further challenge details and instructions will be released the Monday of each week.
-The Math, Fitness Rig, and Wordtastic Challenges must be pre-scheduled with District staff the week of, while the Snow Scene, Pump Track Design, and Highest Elevation Challenges can be completed at any point during the week.
-Registration can be completed online only at cprpd.com under the “Programs & Activities” page. The initial registrant must create a team name during registration, other team members join that team during their registrations. All teams must register by Jan. 25.
