REMSA (the Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority) provides ambulance and Care Flight services for parts of Plumas County, and now is offering CPR learning kits.
According to REMSA, about 70 percent of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in a private or residential setting. Only about 46 percent of these people receive the immediate help that they need before professional help arrives.
