Red Emmerson and SPI become largest landowners in America
Plumas County has been fortunate to have a Sierra Pacific sawmill in its midst, providing much needed jobs that help fuel the local economy. The Emmerson family members are frequent visitors to Quincy and have supported many local organizations and charitable causes. The publisher of Plumas News recently came across an article originally printed in “The Land Report” and thought our readers would enjoy learning more about Red Emmerson, who is now America’s largest landowner.
