Register now for the Chester 4th of July Fun Run

The Almanor Recreation and Park District’s 41st annual Chester 4th of July Fun Run will take place at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 4. The one mile run/walk will start on the Collins Pine lawn and proceed down Chester’s historic Main Street to the finish at the Bidwell House.

Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt (first 400 registrants) and enjoy refreshments at the finish line. After the event, there will be a 4th of July Craft Fair at Chester Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a 4th of July Parade starting at 11 a.m. on Main Street. The Craft Fair is sponsored by the Chester Elks and the Parade is sponsored by the Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce.

The cost is $25 ($30 after July 1st) and all proceeds benefit District programs and events, as well as capital improvement projects, with an emphasis on recreation, parks and trails.
