Richard Emmett Wright

Richard Emmett Wright, 74 of Greenville, CA, passed away on March 24, 2022, in Oroville, CA. Richard was born on October 30, 1947, to Delphain Finnerty in Greenville, CA.

As a young child his family moved to Oroville where he finished growing up with six siblings and several other adopted families around town.

He lived several lives by the age of 30, acquiring names like Big Boy, Bign, Richie, Hardrock, and then Dad. Names all stemming from his storybook life at schools, tunnels, coffee shops, bars, car events, and home. This book of stories could be a best seller.

At age 30 fatherhood started and 29 years later Grandpa life began. Love, Loyalty, Truth and Generosity was his unspoken message. This life couldn’t have been done better or cherished more.

Adding many new friends along the way with his sister Jessica by his side, he spent his last life of 21 years soaking up the Indian Valley Hot Springs while still trading classic cars and antiques. His business sign always read; “R. Wright Classics” followed by “Buy, sell, trade, or just talk.”

This brief summary of Richard, Richie, Big Boy, Bign, Hardrock, Dad, and Grandpa left out his true most fitting name “The Best.” The best dad, grandpa, son, brother, or friend one could have.

“The Best” is predeceased by his mother Del and sister Susie. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-aw Rudy and Summer, grandsons Bentley and Cooper, siblings Jessica (John), Kit (Speedy), Tamera, Shay (Kevin), and Cory. There are no events planned, as he did not wish to have services.

You may make donations in his honor to your own child, grandchild, hot-rod, or collectible of choice as an alternative to flowers.
