Robert Harley Ost

Bob was born in Inglewood, California, on December 24, 1950, and passed away on January 21, 2023, due to complications from a heart attack suffered on 7/4/22.

Bob’s connection and love for Plumas County and the town of Chester began in 1962 when his parents, John and Flora Ost built a home in Prattville, on the west shore of Lake Almanor. Bob frequently visited the area and in his younger years worked for the Forest Service before settling in Santa Rosa as a licensed engineer.

Bob was a true outdoorsman and a cowboy at heart and frequented Plumas County many times over the years.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John and Flora Ost and his nephew, Christopher Becker.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Amy Argento (Joe); sister, Ann Becker (David); nephew, Matthew Becker; his wife, Louise Ost; brother John Ost; and numerous nieces and a nephew from the Portland, Oregon area.

A private celebration of life will be at a later date.
