Ruth was a long-time resident of Lake Almanor. She was a physical education teacher with the Los Angeles School District for over 30 years where she taught physical education. Her favorite activity was coaching girls soft ball.
She retired full time to the Lake in a home she and her father built in the country club. She didn’t adopt golden retrievers, they adopted her. Her greatest joy was golfing. She achieved a hole in one on the Lake Almanor Country Club course on Sept. 5, 2003 on the 8th hole.
She is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Bob), granddaughter Jennifer (Eric), great grandson Jordan, and great granddaughter Stella. She is also survived by her sister Doris and brother Richard.
