Chester
Friday, Oct. 29.
Merchants Safe Trick or Treat and Costume Contest
Main Street Chester. Merchants open their doors from 3 – 5 pm. Costume Contest from 3 – 5 pm at “Old Town” provided by Dede Peterson at 139 Main Street, sponsored by Lake Almanor Area Chamber. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place: $100, $75, $50 respectively.
Lake Almanor
Sunday, Oct. 31
Lake Almanor Community Church Harvest Festival
The Lake Almanor Community Church is holding its annual Harvest Festival on Oct. 31 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lake Almanor Community Church, 2610 Highway A-13. Join the festivities: Good food, fun and all booths are free. Admission is only 1 canned good per person (for LACC Food Pantry). Costumes welcome – but please no scary costumes. Food available at minimal additional cost. Carnival games, bounce house, and candy. Fun for everyone!

The Graeagle Merchants Association’s annual family friendly Trick or Treat event will be held Saturday, Oct. 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. in downtown Graeagle.

Quincy Chamber’s Downtown Trick or Treat
The Quincy Chamber of Commerce’s annual Downtown Trick or Treat will be held from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in downtown Quincy on Friday, Oct. 29.
Saturday, Oct. 30
Halloween-Themed Pets Against Violence Walk
10 a.m., Gansner Park in Quincy. Registration begins at 10:00 am with festivities to begin by 11:00 a.m. Free event. Donations accepted to benefit High Sierra Animal Rescue. Please dress up in costume and dress up your furry friends! Enjoy a Halloween scavenger hunt (children under 12), a complimentary photo with your pet, a costume contest for pets and their people and free refreshments for all. A treat bag for kids and a goodie bag for each dog will be provided and kids and pets can “trick or treat” along the walking path.
Pets must be licensed and have all shots, kept on a leash at all times, and cleaned up after. Only well-socialized dogs please.
